Government and not the War Office to produce the equivalent sum to be held in suspense.

Quite frankly we are unable to follow the

War Office arguments in support of this view, but before we ask them to explain more cogently than they have so far done in what way the Hong Kong Government has reaped the value of this currency, we shall be glad to have your comments. The question has some relation to the British Military Administration Accounts, and the actual facts of the case are perhaps only known in Hong Kong.
